My nail polish collection

hey girlies!! i am soo excited about this blogpost. i'm not sure if i should make a video about this but i'll give u guys a preview here first! i know this post is gonna be super duper long but bear with me! i spend a lot of time on this :) i mostly have OPIs, a few essies and only 1 china glaze. i do have some drugstore ones such as revlon and unknown brands :P

this is an overview of my collection (btw i used flash)

 What's with the Cattitude
this is a pretty baby blue color. it is very opaque and is very springy color, it's very for spring and summer!

 Got to date to-knight
a very pastal baby pink color and it'll totally doll up any outfit.

 Melon of Troy
don't feel hesitant of scared to wear oranges, they can turn out pretty as well. this is a satin looking peachy orange color. it has a hint of pink too so it is not hard to pull off as well

 Sweetheart
this polish is very sheer and the pink is very light and nude when put on your nails so it is good when u don't want your nails to overpower your outfit.

Show it and Glow it
this picture might not bring out the glitter but this polish is SUPER glittery. it has pink, gold and silvery and a hint of greenish blue glitter in it. u might need to add a few more layers if u want the glittery effect to stand out more.

 Colour so Hot it Berns
this is the perfect red color! it is as red as red can go. it's soo opaque that only one coat will do.

 Koala-Beary
this might look red (color so hot it berns) but it's actually a very hot pink color. the pink is very intense that's why it looks so dark on camera. this color is very punky and girly at the same time. (all pinks have that effect :P)

 Left: Russian Navy
Right: Lincoln Park at Midnight
i put these two together because they are very similar in color and one might mix them up when they're in separate photos. i also used flash so that it can bring out the difference more. Russian Navy has more of a purplish bluish tone while Lincoln Park at Midnight has more of a brownish black tone. they are VERY opaque so one coat will do.

 NARS: Chinatown
this red is different from color so hot it berns because it is more of a maroon color. it looks good in the fall or winter but might be too heavy duty for spring. this color is not the most opaque but not the most sheer so i'll say paint 2 layers.

 Blue My Mind
this is the prettiest blue color i've ever seen. it gives such a satin and metallic finish to your nails. it is VERY opaque so 1 layer is more than enough. somehow i think this polish is especially easy to apply on. (just my weird observation) it should come on darker blue in real life.

 Yodel Me on My Cell
this color is a teal color which also gives a satin and metallic touch at the end. it has a hint of greenish tone when compared to Blue My Mind, which is a dead on blue metallic color. Very opaque indeed, 1 layer will do. i found that nail polish that gives a metallic finish is very opaque so 1 layer will be enough for that.

 Absolutely Alice
this polish is from the alice in wonderland collection and has been raved by so many people and it was completely sold out in the states but there are tons of them in Hong Kong <-- weird eh? it is such a unique glittery blue color with blue and gold shimmer. it is very sheer, unlike what it seems like in the bottle so i'll suggest at least 2 coats of it but 3 if you want a more dramatic effect. it is very hard to get off so beware ;)

 Revlon: Red Hot Tamale
this has been mentioned in meganheartsmakeup's video and it is also a very bright red color. it has more of a coral tone when compared to color so hot it berns. it is very opaque and would definitely stand out when wearing a simple and casual outfit.

 China Glaze: Re-fresh Mint
this is a minty green color (wow i'm a genius right? :P) perfect for spring and summer. the color is very opaque but the consistency is kinda sticky so i don't reali like it (maybe i got a defected one?) but the color is very pretty on the whole. so if you have the patience to apply it slowly, you can bear with the consistency. i don't reali like the brush, i'm a loyal OPI brush fan. so this is my subjective view. this color will go so well if you want floral pattern nails.

 Essie: Topless and Barefoot
this color is very subtle (unlike it's name :P) it's the perfect pinkish nude color and nothing can be more suitable for spring than this color. Essie polishes are very sheer so i would advice painting a few more coats to give an opaque finish. but if you prefer sheerer colors, then 1 coat will do. honestly, i hate essie's brushes, i think they are so think and so hard to apply with. but again, that's just my personal opinions.

 Essie: Turquoise and Caicos
this is such a pretty Tiffany blue color, it is the closest that i can find. other colors from other brands such as China Glaze For Audrey is similar too but that one is more to the blue side but this one is more to the green side, which is exactly what Tiffany blue is like. this color should be a big hit in spring!

 Essie: Haute as Hello
i thought this color would be more of a pastel orange color at first but it turned out to be more of a neonish orange when i shook it. but it still looks very nice on your fingers and can totally jazz up your entire look.

 Significant Other Color
as weird as the name might sound, this is such a pretty and MAGICAL color. i've never seen color like this, it looks even better when put on your nails. it gives a sheer sating pink finish to your nails and moreover, it has an iridescent effect which makes it look magical. it is very sheer but one coat will be totally enough. too much will make it look overboard.

these are some of my drugstore ones. they are tiny and they don't have names. i just bought them for fun when i was little.

 MAC: White Frost
this is a very old MAC nail polish which i found in my grandma's drawer. it's so old that they don't have this packaging anymore. this is a very satin shimmery white polish. it looks dull because it has a matte packaging so you can't see the shimmery satin effect.

Revlon: Pure Pearl
an ordinary shimmery white color. kinda like MAC's white frost.

several of my bigger bottles of drugstore polishes. still no names...

 Revlon: Crushed Crimson
this is a brownish red color. kinda hard to pull of, but it can be worn in the falls or winter to create a more sophisticated image.

i hope you guys enjoy this nail polish collection / review blogspot. i worked so hard on this and i hope i can hear feedbacks and comments from you guys soon!

xoxo,
chantal
